Tom Skeldon has worked hard to keep children and adults safe from vicious dogs and dog bites.

Our Toledo, Ohio attorneys would like to extend our congratulations to the Lucas County Dog Warden, as he was just named Dog Warden of the year by the nation's only dog bite advocacy group, DogsBite.org. DogsBite.org was founded by a person who was a victim of a pit-bull attack in Seattle.

DogsBite.org agrees with Mr. Skeldon's hard work. They write, "Tom Skeldon has vigorously worked to prevent horrendous pit bull maulings resulting in serious injuries or death of human beings, their domesticated pets and livestock."

If you or someone you love has been injured by an dog bite in Ohio, contact our office using the form at right to order your FREE copy of The Ohio Dog Bite Book. Our attorneys are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Mr. Skeldon, Dogbite.org and Ohio attorneys live in a la-la land, where vicious pit bulls roam the streets, killing people left and right, and other dogs act as happy stuffed animals. If anything, Mr. Skeldon does a huge dis-service to the county, by being extremely narrow minded, providing people with a false sense of security, and collecting paychecks for NOT doing his job.

You mean this dogbite advocacy group?

Here`s a snippet
...I have sent several comments correcting 'facts' from having been on scene-and they never appear. So the author, when confronted by info that differs, just covers his/her ears and yells "La La La I can't hear you".....
...Dogbites is nothing more than a hate fueled site with a clear agenda to warp the truth and destroy a breed of dog based on the authors personal feelings.
BTW would this be the same Tom Skeldon who said this
Dog Warden Skeldon acknowledged that even if a dog was 50 per cent pit
bull, if it did not "look like a pit bull," the owner would not be charged. On the other
hand, if a dog did look like a pit bull," it would be classified as a pit bull and the owner
would be subject to the "vicious dog" laws. No definitive description of a "pit bull" was
presented.

*****The warden also acknowledged that there is really no way to tell if a dog is or
is not a "pit bull" and the determination is made by his or a deputy's subjective judgment.
Regardless of its parentage or behavior, however, if a dog is labeled a pit bull, the owner
would be charged under the statutes and city ordinance.
Oh and isn`t there an attorney involved with that dogsbite site?

Oh and BTW was Ms Lynn bitten by a

or a mutt or a mix that she has conveniently tagged as a 'pit bull?

I mean if this "qualified" Dog Warden and his Deputy are unable to identify a 'pit bull',what`s the likelihood that Ms Lynn or any other member of the Public or Media can identify one?

Anyway Congratulations Tom,keep up the "great" work.

I wonder if Tom is allowed to post on Dogsbite?

I`m wondering why dogsbite wouldn`t nominate Dog Warden Bill Bruce of Calgary,Alberta,Canada

He runs a world renowned Animal Control Program
(actually called a Responsible Ownership Bylaw)

Fantastic results.
All done without BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION/Pet limits or mandatory spay/neuter and fully funded by fines and licensing.

Here are their Stats for those REALLY interested in Public Safety.

Of course if Dogsbite really isn`t interested in Public Safety I can see why they might overlook Bill Bruce of Calgary.
They sure know about him and his success. He`s mentioned on their site.

Maybe Canadian Dog Wardens weren`t eligible for this "meaningful" award.

Is "celebrated" Dog Warden barking up wrong tree?

Using Animal Control Resources chasing down "dangerous" dogs classified as such due simply to Breed and/or look.
Judging by his comments in the Telling trial(posted above) it`s mostly due to looks because apparently the only way Tom Skeldon would know a 'Pit Bull' would be if it walked up and introduced itself.
But the number of dog bites and attacks investigated by the warden's office increased from 329 in 2007 to 403 last year.
Is this his idea of success?

Apparently he hasn`t worked hard enough.
Perhaps he`s spending too much time harassing people with dogs he calls 'pit bulls' to be concerned with actually improving public safety.
